Pvt. William Darrell

 



A brother and sister, both in the army service, spending furloughs in Davenport together are Pvt. William Darrell and Pfc. Alice Darrell, the former on a six-day delay en route from Camp Maxey, Tex., to Ft. Meade, Md., the latter home for 15 days from the Waco army air field, Tex. Their parents and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Darrell, R.R. No. 2, Davenport.

Pvt. Darrell, a former employee of the Rock Island arsenal, entered the service in August, 1944, and was stationed for a time in Ft. Lewis, Wash. He is with the army infantry. His wife, Mrs. Jewell Darrell and daughters reside in Buffalo.

Miss Darrell, who has been stationed in Waco since completing her "basic" training at Ft. Des Moines entered the service the latter part of 1943. She had previously been employed by the Kohrs Packing Co.
