Lt. Max E. Dailey

 

 

Max E. Dailey was born Dec. 15, 1921 to Merle William and Helen Marie Lathrop Dailey. He died Aug. 1, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.

Lt. Dailey served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 409th Bomber Squadron, 93rd Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA over Ploesti, Rumania and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and Air Medal.
