Dorian D. Dagit

 

 

 

Dorian D. Dagit was born Oct. 15, 1925 to Raymond E. and Alma V. Arnold Dagit. He died in 1969 and is buried in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Williams, IA.

Dorian served with the U.S. Navy in World War II aboard the USS Sicily (CVE-118).

Obituary:

Williams—Dorian Dagit, Williams area farmer, died this morning, the apparent victim of a heart attack suffered while driving a truck loaded with hogs on Highway 20, two miles north and a mile east of here.

The truck went off the road and into a snowbank, where it overturned in the ditch. Digit was accompanied by a brother, Arnold, who was not injured. Hogs from the truck were rounded up in the yard of a nearby farm.

The accident occurred about 11 a.m. The Alden rescue unit was called to the scene of the accident, as was Dr. Sam L. Kumamoto, Hamilton county coroner. Sheriff E. R. Lear and Deputy Sheriff Jerry Farnham investigated.
