Dale D. Crowell was born Aug. 10, 1915 to Marion Ross and Johanna Crowell. He died Oct. 16, 1942 and has a cenotaph in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Cpl. Crowell served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps H & S Company, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division and was KIA in combat operations on Guadalcanal.
