Lt. Cdr. Charles B. Clayton, Jr.

 

 

Men In Service

Charles Bell Clayton, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Clayton, 3310 Vine Avenue, has received his wings and an ensign’s commission in the United States naval reserve at Corpus Christi, Texas He volunteered for flight training in September, 1941. Ensign Clayton attended Baker University and Morningside College, where he was a member of Sigma Phi epsilon.

Men And Women in Service.

Ensign Charles B. Clayton, Jr., and Mrs. Clayton of Whiting, Iowa, were in Sioux City Thursday as guest of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kahoun. The ensign is a pilot and recently has been in service in the Caribbean area.

Charles B. Clayton, Jr. was born July 30, 1918. He died Sept. 28. 1995 and is buried in Fort Lyon National Cemetery, Fort Lyon, CO.

LCdr. Clayton served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He also served in Korea.
