James Joseph Cink was born Sept. 24, 1912 to Frank Albert and Bertha Martha Ciha Cink. He died Oct. 1, 1943 and is buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Wesley, IA.

Petty Officer Cink served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS LCT (5)-496 when that vessel was lost in the Straits of Dover. He was MIA/FOD/KIA while serving his country.
