Eugene Leverne Carlson was born Jan. 17, 1924 to Gilbert W. and Marguerite C. Sandeen Carlson. He died Nov. 22, 1986 and is buried in Emerson Cemetery, Emerson, IA.
Sgt. Carlson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 89th Signal Corps, 87th Infantry Division and 30th Battalion, 112th Infantry, 28th Division.
