Pfc. Luverne M. Cameron

 

 

IN UNIFORM.

Luverne M. Cameron, son of Mrs. Martha Cameron, 1417 Hamilton street, whose wife lives at 2018 Court street, recently was promoted to private first class, it has been announced at the air transport command  base in Karachi, India, where he is stationed.  Pfc. Cameron, an aircraft mechanic, has served in the division since November 7, 1944. He entered the army June 1, 1944.  Prior to entering service, he attended Central high school.

Pfc. Luverne M. Cameron, son of Mrs. Martha Cameron, 1417 Hamilton street, recently was promoted to his present rank, the commanding general office of the India-China division of the air transport command announced.  Pfc. Cameron entered the armed forces on June 1, 1944, and served as an aircraft mechanic with the India-China division since November 7, 1944. He attended Central high school and before entering the Army, worked as a mechanic at Art’s Used Cars.  Pfc. Cameron’s wife resides at 2018 Court street.
