Gilbert Thomas “Gib” Bell was born Oct. 10, 1915 to Grover Cleveland and Ethel Beulah Wathen Bell. He died Jan. 29, 2018 and is buried in Highland Cemetery, Bayard, IA.
Petty Officer Bell served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Moffett (DD-362) which sailed to England in March 1944 to assist with the Normandy invasion.
