Raymond John “Ray” Byrnes was born Sept. 26, 1922 to John T. and Gertrude Elizabeth Mitchell Byrnes. He died Aug. 27, 2014 and is buried in Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines, IA.
Cpl. Byrnes served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
