Eldora—Mrs. John L. Butler had a telegram Wednesday from her husband, Capt. John L. Butler, announcing his arrival in the United States after spending nearly two years in north Africa, which he entered with the invasion forces.

John Louis Butler was born July 8, 1912 to Louis Edward and Bessie Zathoe Lundy Butler. He died May 13, 1999 and is buried in Eldora City Cemetery, Eldora, IA.
