Vincent C. Burns, petty officer second class, formerly stationed with the naval air corps at Corpus Christi, Texas, has been chosen for an 18-month course in naval officers’ training. He will report July 1 at Southwestern Louisiana institute at Lafayette. Mr. Burns is on leave at the home of his mother, Mrs. Lucille Burns, 1511 W. 19th Street.

Vincent C. Burns, member of the naval reserve, has entered midshipman’s school at Northwestern university, Evanston, Ill., where he will take a four-month training course. He enlisted in the naval reserve three years ago. He is the son of Mrs. Lucille Burns, 1511 W. 19th street.
