Lt. James E. Burns

Clarence W. Persinger, son of Mrs. C.A. Persinger, 3930 Country Club Boulevard; Stanley E. Orner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Orner, 2320 S. Cypress street, and James E. Burns, son of Mrs. J. L. Burns, 507 Otoe street, have arrived at Washington university, St. Louis, Mo. for a course in army air force instruction.

James Edward Burns was born Oct. 23, 1923 to Joseph L. and Maria Magdalena Geering Burns. He died Jan. 9, 1946 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

2nd Lt. Burns served with the U.S. Army Air Corps 32nd Fighter Squadron in World War II.
