Pvt. Keith Knight Bryan

 

 

Keith Knight Bryan was born Sept. 29, 1922 to Stephen Smith and Marie Knight Bryan. He died June 6, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France.

Pvt. Bryan served in World War II with the U.S. Army 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division and was MIA/FOD/KIA on a paratrooper drop mission over Cherbourg Peninsula and failed to return. Their plane encountered anti-aircraft and machine gun fire near St. Pierre-du-Mont, France. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
