Capt. Robert E. Brown

 

 

Memorial Service for Capt. Brown Sunday Afternoon

Memorial services will be held for Capt. Robert E. Brown at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Morningside Presbyterian Church.

Rev. W.R. Moore, pastor of the church will deliver the address and eulogy. Others who will participate are Mrs. J.A. Coss, soloist, Mrs. John F. Schmidt, organist and Mrs. Oscar Hansen who will give a tribute from the American Legion Auxiliary.

Capt. Brown was the son of E. S. Brown, 4511 Morningside Avenue and was killed in action over Belgium, September 19.

Robert Elson Brown was born Aug. 5, 1916 to Elson Smith and Clara Johnson Brown. He died Sept. 19, 1944 and is buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Capt. Brown served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
