Ernest Junior Brinkema was born Jan. 10, 1925 to Ernest J. and Rose Brinkema. He died Sept. 3, 1988 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Petty Officer Brinkema served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Ernest Brinkema, 63, of Kamrar was dead on arrival at the Hamilton County Hospital following a two-car accident Saturday, Sept. 3 north of Highview.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 6) at Foster Funeral Home with Robert Orr and Richard Junker officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.

Ernest Junior Brinkema, son of Ernest and Rose Tjabben Brinkema, was born Jan. 10, 1925 at Kamrar where he graduated from high school. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy.

On July 23, 1963, he married Lois Johnson at Albert Lea, Minn. The couple resided in kamrar. He was a security guard at Webster City Products for 10 years, retiring in 1981.

Survivors include his wife; one sister, Bessie Anderson of Kamrar and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

He was a member of the Gospel Assembly at Hampton.
