Lt. Edwin Gordon Breaw

 

 

 

Edwin Gordon Breaw was born Feb. 6, 1923 to Walter L. and Elva A. Cullen Breaw. He died Nov. 4, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Margraten, Netherlands.

Lt. Breaw was a navigator with the 708th Bomber Squadron, 447th Bomber Group, Heavy with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was lost in the English channel after a raid on Berlin in a B-17 Flying Fortress “Yellow Cab". He was awarded a Purple Heart and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
