Pvt. Darrell Max Brandt

 

 

 

Helmer Heinrich and Lena Rose Caquelin Brandt had three sons and a daughter-in-law serving during World War II:

Donald Helmer Brandt was born Jan. 23, 1917. He died Oct. 27, 1990 and is buried in Bellevue Cemetery, Bellevue, NE.

Sgt. Brandt served with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was stationed near Foggia, Italy with the 15th air force. He was awarded the air medal with three clusters, the good conduct medal and the ETO ribbon with five battle stars. He also served in Korea and Vietnam.

Donald’s first wife, Jerlene Swanson Brandt served at Fort Custer with the 35th WAAC post HQ Co. Jerlene was born May 10, 1918 and died Feb. 2, 1972.

Darrell Max Brandt was born Nov. 24, 1926. He died July 4, 2002 and is buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Pvt. Brandt served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Vernon Keith Brandt (Sr.) was born Mar. 26, 1921. He died Feb. 4, 2000 and is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cherokee, IA.

Lt. Col. Brandt served with the U.. Army in World War II.
