Charles Vinton “Charlie" Booton was born Sept. 5, 1910 to Harry Lewis and Flora Belle Wilds Booton. He died Dec. 7, 1941 and is buried at the Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Wheeler Grove Cemetery, Macedonia, IA.

Petty Officer Booton served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS West Virginia (BB-48) which was sunk by six torpedoes and two bombs during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was MIA/KIA serving his country.
