Lt. Roger Claire Blaylock

 

 

Roger Claire Blaylock was born Apr. 24, 1921 to Roy E. and Zola L. Blaylock. He died Nov. 6, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Lt. Blaylock served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 40th Fighter Squadron, 35th Fighter Group and was MIA/FOD/KIA when his plane was lost en route to Morotai Island, while returning from a combat mission to the Philippine Islands. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
