Guy Bever was born June 19, 1907 to Edward and Eva Lucinda Adams Bever. He died Nov. 13,1971 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Guy served with the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II.

Guy Bever, 64, a longtime Webster City resident, died Saturday evening at the Veteran’s Hospital in Des Moines. He had been a patient there the past three weeks and in ill health the past four years.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Marvin E. Brewer officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion post 191.

Guy Bever, son of Ed and Eva Adams Bever, was born June 19, 1907 at Webster City where he was reared and educated.

During World War II, he served with the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by three brothers and one sister: Don Bever, Webster City, Gerald Bever of Denver, Colo., Jess Bever, Bucyrus, Mo., and Mrs. Andy (Rose) Meckler of Riverdale, Calif.

Also surviving are a son, Guy Bever, Jr., Jig Harbor, Wash., and a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Blaha of Fort Dodge; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.

He was a member of the American Legion.
