Robert Marion Bennett was born Aug. 30, 1915 to John M. and Mary Sowers Bennett. He died Jan. 11, 1945 and is buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, St. Avold, Lorraine, France.
Pvt. Bennett served with the U.S. Army 315th Infantry, 79th Division in World War II. He was KIA in France and awarded a Purple Heart.
