Lt. Robert J. Becker

Janesville—Mrs. Robert J. Becker received a V-mail letter from her husband, Lt. Robert J. Becker, that he had arrived safely in England.  Lieutenant Becker entered the service March 11, 1941, and received his wings and commission as lieutenant in the Army Air Force, June 22, 1943, at Williams Field, Ariz.  He is the pilot of an A-20 Havoc bomber.

Lieutenant Becker is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Becker of Janesville.  His wife, the former Virginia Howe, is residing at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Howe, here.

Robert John Becker was born Nov. 9, 1917 to Fred Charles and Anna M. Lubbs Becker. He died Nov. 29, 2001 and is buried in Washington Chapel Cemetery, Cedar Falls, IA.
