Sgt. Howard Beaman

 

 

 

 

Prisoner of Germans.

GREENFIELD, IA.—Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beaman of Casey, have been notified that their son. Sergt. Howard Beaman, was wounded and is now a prisoner of the Germans. He had been reported missing in action since Feb. 26.

Sergeant Beaman was a radio operator and gunner on a United States Liberator bomber operating out of bases in England. He entered the army in February, 1942.

Howard Wendell Beaman was born Dec. 20, 1920 to Charles William and Georgia Etta Howard Beaman. He died Nov. 7, 2003 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Council Bluffs, IA.
