Sgt. Russell L. Basalyga

Sgt. Russell L. Basalyga, whose wife, the former Helen Staszewsky, lives at 2801 Macomb Avenue, is serving as crew chief in charge of sheet metal repairs at an air depot in England where American pursuit planes are reconditioned and modified. He directs the activities of a crew of qualified technicians in the work of repair. He entered the service in April 1942; took his basic training at Keesler-Field, Mississippi and served at the Sioux City army air base until his transfer over-seas in December 1943.
