Sergeant Samuel M. Atwood, 511 Center Street, will leave Monday for South Carolina to attend officers’ training school in South Carolina after spending a 10- day furlough here. Sergeant Atwood recently returned from Ireland where he had been stationed since February.

Samuel Milton Atwood was born Apr. 15, 1917 to Shirley Park and Nellie Moss Atwood. He died May 25, 1944 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
