Arthur Attema, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pier Attema of Rock Valley, Left Feb. 14th for the army and is now stationed at Ft. Leavenworth. R.C. 1773 C Co. C. Barr No. 582, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.  This is the third son Mr. and Mrs. Attema have in the service.  Jake and Tunis have been in nearly three years.

THREE BROTHERS IN SERVICE
Pictured here are the three sons of Mr. and Mrs. Pier Attema of Rock Valley, Iowa.

TUNIS AND JAKE ATTEMA
Cpl. Tunis and Jake Attema entered the service on April 17, 1941.  They received their basic training at Camp Clairborne, Louisiana.  They were then stationed at Arkansas, and recently were again sent back to Camp Clairborne where they are building a road.  Both are in the Engr. Corp.  Tunis was married during his last furlough, May 11,  to Clarissa Van Kley and are living in Mansfield, La.

PVT. ARTHUR ATTEMA
Pvt. Arthur Attema entered the service on Feb. 14, 1944.  He received his basic training at Camp Craft, Calif.  In July he was transferred to Fort Ord, California, and also spent a few days delay in route with his parents.  His address is:

ATTEMA BROTHERS HOME ON FURLOUGH

Their youngest brother Arthur entered the service last February, left the states in July and is now stationed in the Hawaiian Islands where he is attending radio school.

Attema Discharged

Sgt. Art Attema
Sgt. Art Attema, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pier Attema, arrived home from Ft. Leavenworth, Kans. Tuesday with his discharge.  He had been stationed in Hawaii and flew to the west coast about a week ago.

Servicemen's Names Are All Compiled for Plaque
A committee of the American Legion met last week and compiled a list of servicemen, whose names will go on the New Memorial Plaque which has been made possible by the generosity of a good share of the citizens of this community.  The list is being published in this issue of the Bee, with infinite care taken to insure its completeness and correctness.  It has been suggested that any errors noticed in the list be brought to the attention of the Legion, so that a correct list may be sent to the company who is manufacturing the plaque.  The names which will be listed in no special order follow:
