Pvt. Royal Dean Alexander

 

Royal Dean Alexander was born June 20, 1925 to Royal John “John” and Zelphia Yardley Alexander. He died Jan. 27, 1998 and is buried in Campbell Cemetery, Pollock, MO.

Pvt. Alexander served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry “Old Hickory” Division and landed on the French coast on D-Day plus 4. He was awarded Combat Infantry Badge, European Theater of Operations ribbon, five battle stars and the Purple Heart.
