Sgt. Willard Albers arrived from Australia after spending seven months on Woodlark Island. He will be hospitalized at Camp Atterbury, Ind. for tropical fever.

Willard Christoph Albers was born Apr. 9, 1917 to William and Emma Friedrichsen Albers. He died Aug. 16, 1981 and is buried in Holstein Cemetery, Holstein, IA.

Sgt. Albers served in World War II with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific.
