Herman Garrett Aden was born Nov. 22, 1917 to Edd H. and Katie Seehusen Aden. He died Oct. 6, 1995 and is buried in St. Paul Cemetery, Palmer, IA.

Herman served in the U.S. Navy in World War II aboard the USS Pennsylvania.

Herman Aden, 77, of Palmer, died October 6, 1995 of injuries received in an auto accident.

Services were held October 9, 1995 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Palmer, with the Rev. Terry Cosier officiating. Burial was in St. Paul Cemetery, Palmer. Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson was in charge of arrangements.

Herman Aden was born November 22, 1917 in Palmer. He served in the US Navy on the USS Pennsylvania from 1942-1945. In 1949 he married Marian Siebels in Palmer. He had a plumbing, heating and electrical business in Jewell from 1963 to 1983, when he retired. The couple then moved to Palmer.

Survivors include his wife, Marian; daughters, Carol Lundberg, Pleasant Hill, Sharon Aden-Aringdale, Mokena, Illinois; sons, Bruce, Coggon, and Steve, Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren; brothers, George, Great Bend, Kansas, Raymond, Palmer; Step-brother, Eldon Arends, Manson; and sisters, Kathryn Aden, Urbandale, Edna Wiemers, Manteka, California and Dorothy Siefken, Palmer.
