Battle Casualties Sadden More Homes

PVT. WARREN YOUNG—Pvt. Warren Young died on June 11, 1943, apparently while in a prison camp in the Philippines, relatives were informed. Son of the late Dr. J. L. Young, he had been in the thick of fighting in the Philippines and at Corregidor. He had enlisted in the Army three years before Pearl Harbor.

Warren Ellsworth Young was born Oct. 5, 1921 to Joseph and Florence Grant Young. He died Sept. 12, 1942 and is buried in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery, Rolfe, IA and memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Taguig City, Philippines.

Pvt. Young served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Dept.
