RETURNS TO DUTY.
Halbur (THNS) –Walter H. Wittrock, G. M. 1/c left Sunday evening to report back at Norfolk, Va., after spending a 28-day furlough at the home of his father, August Wittrock, near Halbur. He recently returned from action in the South Pacific.

Walter Henry Wittrock was born Feb. 24, 1920 to August and Ella Mary Drees Wittrock. He died July 13, 2014 and is buried in Saint Augustine Cemetery, Halbur, IA.
