Pvt. Robert Wieland

 

 

WRECK VICTIM

Lake View, Ia.—Special: The body of Pvt. Robert Wieland, who was killed Sunday in a Southern Pacific railroad wreck near Ogden, Utah, has arrived here and funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic church at Wall Lake. The body arrived here under military escort.

Robert Edward Wieland was born Feb. 22, 1925 to Edward and Lillian Irwin Wieland. He died Dec. 31, 1944 and is buried in Wall Lake Cemetery, Wall Lake, IA.

Pvt. Wieland served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
