IN UNIFORM.

Lawrence G. Wang, storekeeper, second class, U.S.N.R., finally succeeded in reaching Tokyo, on board the U.S.S. Merrimack.  His wife, Mrs. Lois E. Wang, lives at 1619 Willis avenue.  The Merrimack, a fleet oiler, originally was scheduled to enter Tokyo bay with the other units of Halsey’s Third fleet, but at the last minute she was ordered to pump out her cargo of fuel oil to a group of carriers, cruisers and battlewagons and return to her base in the western Carolines.
