ADVANCED TO SERGEANT
Clarence A. Wallen, formerly assistant manger of the Fareway Store in Carroll has been promoted to sergeant. He is located at Hunter Field, Savannah, Ga. Mrs. Wallen and their son are still in Omaha, but expect to join them there shortly.

WALLEN FAMILY VISITS
Staff Sgt. and Mrs. Clarence Wallen and small son, Dickie, returned to Omaha yesterday after a few days visit with Mrs. Wallen’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Schirck. Staff Sgt. Wallen is home on furlough from Savannah, Ga. He was employed at the local Fareway Store before going into the service.
