T/Sgt. Ralph R. Thorp

 

 

 

MEN IN SERVICE.

Sergeant Ralph R. Thorp has returned to Beal, Cal., after spending a furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thorp, 4512 Grant Street. Sergeant Thorp sailed recently from Oahu Island where he had been stationed 21 months.

IN UNIFORM

T. Sgt. Ralph R. Thorp, 4512 Grant street, recently was awarded the bronze star for heroic achievement in action on the Fifth army front in Italy.  He is a platoon sergeant in the cannon company of the 363d infantry regiment, 91st “Powder River” division.  Sgt. Thorp was graduated from Central high school in January, 1934.  He entered the army June 27, 1941, and has served in the Pacific theater of operations.
