GRADUATED
Private Kenneth M. Thompson, 3808 Garretson avenue, has been graduated from the Camp Grant medical replacement training center clerical school.

Sioux City Man in Philippines Awarded Bronze Star Medal

Manila – Special: First Lt. Kenneth M. Thompson, husband of Mrs. Bernice M. Thompson of Primghar, Iowa has been awarded the bronze star medal by Brig. Gen. Frayne Baker, commanding general of the Philippine base section in Manila.

Lt. Thompson was cited for meritorious achievement in direct support of combat operations as chief of the property and accounting section at a Philippine base.

He is a graduate of Morningside college, Sioux City, where he majored in business administration. Prior to entering the army, he was employed by a loan company in Sioux City. He came overseas in October 1944.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson of Ledyard.
