Local Youth Is Killed in Action

Tech. 4/g Albert B. Thompson was killed in action somewhere in France on Aug. 30, according to word received from the war department by his wife at 2824 Avenue D.

Originally from West Plaines, Mo., he resided in Council Bluffs two years prior to entering the service, during which time he was employed as a carpenter on government projects.

His wife is the former Eileen Vallier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Vallier.
