Pvt. Paris K. Taylor

 

 

BROTHERS MEET IN ITALY AFTER 3 YEARS

Pvt. Earl (“Gene”) Taylor and Pfc. Wayne E. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Taylor, 100 S. Paxton street, met in Italy on December 24, 1944, for the first time in three years.

Wayne entered service in January, 1943, and has been stationed in Italy since August, 1943.  Gene entered the army in July, 1943, and was stationed in England before being sent into Italy in October.  After discovering that they were both in Italy, Wayne got a three-day pass and spent Christmas with Gene at his camp. Gene is a member of the 88th infantry division and Wayne is with the 91st air service squadron.

They have another brother, Pvt. Paris K. Taylor, who is stationed at Camp Hood, Tex.  Wayne’s wife lives at 3270 Fourth street.

Paris Kenyon Taylor was born June 21, 1926 to Bud and Bernice Mary Rants Taylor. He died Sept. 30, 2007.

Paris served in World War II with the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps.
