Pfc. James Suman Dies of Wounds, Relatives Learn

PFC. James H. Suman, 20, wounded in action in Belgium on Jan. 20, died on Jan. 24, according to word received by relatives here. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Suman, West Burlington and the husband of Janet Suman, of Burlington. He had been married just a couple of weeks before going overseas with the infantry in September, 1944.

PFC. Suman was born April 6, 1924, and is survived by his widow, parents and a sister, Janice. He was prominent in athletics at Burlington high school. He entered the service just a year before being sent overseas.
