PROMOTION
Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Shaffer, 175 Fifteenth avenue, that their son, Tech 5 Bud Shaffer, has been promoted to sergeant and made first mechanic with the field artillery of the 43rd division stationed on Luzon. Sgt. Shaffer has been in the service 38 months and has served overseas 34 months. He is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln high school.
