Mate of Sioux Cityan Missing in Nazi Action

Pfc. Earl Schwarz, 25, is missing in action in Germany, according to a message received Tuesday by his wife, Mrs. Helen Schwarz, who makes her home with her mother, Mrs. Ethel Campbell, 1503 Jackson street.

The message from the War Department stated that Pfc. Scwarz has been missing since February 6. A letter written by him February 5 was received Monday by Mrs. Schwarz. They have a daughter, Sharon.

Pfc. Schwarz joined the army in July, 1944, and went overseas December 30, serving in the infantry. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarz, reside at Climbing Hill. Pfc. Schwarz was graduated from high school there.

Before entering the service he was a dispatcher from the Aluminum Company of America in Los Angeles.
