Memorial Services to be Held Sunday

Memorial services for Pvt. Dwight R. Rogers will be held in the Sergeant Bluffs Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.  Members of George Nelson post 662, American Legion, assisted by the Monahan post of Sioux City, will have charge of the military service.  The memorial address will be delivered by Rev. A. J. Barkley of Smithland, Ia.  Rev. J. L. Norris of Sergeant Bluffs will officiate.

Pvt. Dwight R. Rogers was killed in action in France on December 17th, according to the telegram received by his mother, Mrs. Gladys M. Rogers.  He had been overseas less than a month and was serving with the 30th infantry.  He had been in service since June, 1944, and received his training at Camp Fannin, Tex.  He also spent some time at Fort George G. Meade, Md., before leaving for overseas.
