GEORGE ROBINSON

Word of the death of George Robinson, 30, seaman first class, former resident of Waterloo for 15 years and nephew of Mrs. Jane Thornton, 209 Bates street, was received here Saturday

Robinson was stricken with acute nephritis and died at the naval station hospital at Bunker Hill Feb. 15, in Peru, Ind.

Born Dec. 26, in Water Valley, Miss., the son of George and Evelyn Sadler Robinson, he came here at the age of two and a half and lived here with his aunt until the age of 17, when he moved to Detroit, Mich., here he was married. He entered service in 1943, and received his boot training at Great Lakes, Ill, before being transferred to Peru. Before entering service he was employed by the Chrysler Motor Co.

Besides his parents and his wife, all of Detroit, he is survived by three sons, Le Roy, 5, Jerome, 2 ½, and George, 13 months, and one daughter, Mary Louise, 3 ½.

Funeral services and burial were held at Detroit, Feb. 22
