Carl W. Riddle, U. S. navy, filed a petition in district court Thursday morning asking a divorce from Margie Jean Riddle, whom he married in Bloomington, Ill., Jan. 20, 1943.

Returns to Brooklyn

Carl W. Riddle, fire controlman third class, has returned to Brooklyn, N. Y. after a week’s visit with his mother, Mrs. Maud Riddle, 1615 Avenue B. He was accompanied by his fiancé, Joan Benson of East Orange, N. J.

Carl Riddle Is Reported Missing

Fire Controlman 3/c Carl W. Riddle has been listed as missing in action, his mother, Mrs. Maude Riddle, 1615 Avenue B, was notified recently.

In the south Pacific theater of war for the last five and one-half months, he was serving aboard a destroyer which was reported sunk [December 3, 1944].

He received his boot training at Great Lakes, Ill, and specialized training at Washington, D. C.

His fiancé, Joan P. Benson of New York city, has returned to her home after a visit here.
