T/5 Clayton C. Plum

 

TECHNICIAN PLUM REPORTED MISSING  

Technician Fifth Grade Clayton C. Plum, overseas since last September, has been reported missing in action since January 14, while serving with a tank battalion in France.  The War Department notified his father, William Plum, 2820 S. Lemon street.

Technician Plum entered the service two and one-half years ago and received his training at Camp Chaffee, Ark., and Camp Campbell, Ky.  He formerly attended East Junior high school.

A brother, Pvt. William Plum, jr., is stationed somewhere in Italy.  Their mother, Mrs. William Johnson, formerly of Sioux City, lives in Indianapolis, Ind.

Clayton Crystal Plum was born Mar. 1, 1922 to William and Flossie Welder Plum. He died Jan. 14, 1945 and is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, KY.
