Warren Place Receives
Commission as Ensign; Marries Today

Warren Place, son of Dr. and Mrs. F. Place, graduated this morning, April 13, 1944, from the midshipmen school at Columbia University, New York City and received his commission as an Ensign in the U. S. Navy.

This afternoon at 2:30 he was united in marriage to Miss Beatrice Wolfe Carey of Hardonfield, New Jersey, a navy nurse. The ceremony was performed in Riverside church, New York City.

Ensign Place and bride are expected here this week for a visit at the Dr. Place home and with other relatives and friends. At the end of a 20-day leave Ensign Place will report for duty at Miami, Florida.

Warren William Place was born May 6, 1922 to Floyd and Dena Davison Place. He died July 28, 2010 in Allentown, PA.
