Brothers Visit Home

Lester, Ed and Elmer Peters, all in training at different camps, are visiting their sister, Mrs. Roy Bohnsen, at Rockwell, while on furlough. Lester (at left) is training in Bangor, Maine, where the brothers met recently and had the above picture taken. Cpl. Ed Peters (center) was a Camp Devens, Mass., and Sgt. Elmer Peters is at Camp Edwards, Mass. Ed has been transferred to Camp Campbell, Ky.

Elmer Ray Peters was born Mar. 5, 1910 to Harry and Nettie Bertha Scharn Peters. He died Mar. 12, 1944 and is buried in Pleasant Valley Township Cemetery, Swaledale, IA.

Sgt. Peters served in World War II with the U.S. Army Amphibious Forces and died of respiratory paralysis while in the service of his country.
