News About Men in Service From Over Northeast Iowa

DIKE—Friends here have learned that Charles K. Paulson, native of Dike, has been promoted to First Lieutenant in the armed forces and made an executive officer. He took part in the battle of Attu, and has been awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action. Lieutenant Paulson was born at Dike, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Paulson, who now live at Mason City.

Charles Kenneth Paulson was born July 6, 1920 to Paul Merritt and Cora E. Peterson Paulson. He died Dec. 2004 and is buried in Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake, IA.
