Staff Sgt. Gilbert Pauley has been promoted to the rank of technical sergeant. He is a son of Charles Pauley of Carroll. He may be addressed at: 887 Pilot Tng. School, Laughlin Field, Del Rio, Tex.

Gilbert Joseph “Gib” Pauley was born Jan. 19, 1920 to Charles and Johanna “Jennie” Klocke Pauley. He died Feb. 24, 2009 and is buried in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.
CMSgt. Pauley served with the U.S. Air Force in World War II and Korea.
